Nine years ago we left my little home salon… a chair in my kitchen… one client at a time… and opened Miyosiwin Salon Spa.
I didn’t just want a place to cut and color hair. I wanted it to feel warm. Like getting your hair braided by your mom or aunties. Comfortable. Connected. Where beauty and culture sit side by side.
We started small. Like… really small. Long days. Big dreams.
I’ve watched nervous apprentices grow into confident stylists. I’ve watched staff grow and chase their own paths. I’ve seen clients bring their Cocums, Mushums, aunties, sisters, kids. Some of you have been in my chair through weddings, new jobs, breakups… and a few grey hairs 🤔😉💜
We’ve traveled to our Nations because not everyone can come to us. We’ve closed. Rebuilt. Relocated. My Dad and brother renovating late nights to make my vision happen.
Thousands of appointments later, it’s never just been about hair. It’s the talks. The laughs. The quiet moments. kîhokewin… truly visiting and investing in each other.

I went in for a headspa and facial. It was so good!! I was so relaxed and it took away all of my stress. I’m quite allergic to scents but they used all natural product and none of it bothered me. After my spa I came home and was so relaxed I slept for 2 hours! My skin and hair feel amazing! I will be recommending Miyosiwin spa to all of my family and friends. Thank you so much Jody!
